A motorcycle adventure is
NOT your standard / average vacation... so we will try and answer most
questions in the following section. If there are still any questions
regarding your "Motorcycle Adventure" please feel free to contact us.
Q: What kind of clothes should I bring?
A: Due to the mostly mild weather in South Florida, you should bring
mostly warm weather gear. However during the winter months it could get a
little cool so you should dress according to the season. A good
leather jacket is always recommended for riding. Denim jeans are also
recommended. All hotels have swimming pools so don't forget your swim
suits.
Q: How many people are in a group?
A: We allow a maximum of 10 bikes per group. In rare occasions there
may
be a few more bikes but if the number exceeds 12 we may divide the group
into 2 groups and add a second tour
guide.
Q: After I arrive, how
do I get from the airport to the hotel?
A: You need to arrange your own transportation from the airport to the hotel
(shuttle service or taxi service is usually available).
Q: Do I need to bring rain gear?
A: Yes, MOST DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED! Rain gear is a very important
part or your wardrobe in this trip due to the need for a tight fit and a
safe ride.
Q: Will I receive more information about
my tour before I arrive?
A: General information about the tour is contained in this web
site. More details will be e-mailed to all participants two weeks before
the departure date.
Q: Are prices different
for different Harley
Davidson models?
A: No, all guided tour motorcycles cost
the same.
Q: What is the cost estimate for gas?
A: Approximately $45 per day
Q: Do I have to stay with the group at all times?
A: We prefer that the group stay together, however, you can take an alternate route or split from the group as long as
this does not result in a change of schedule or itinerary for the rest of
the group. We encourage friendship and camaraderie among all participants,
so no one should want to part from their
newly made friends and ride on their own.
Q: Do you require certain experience to
participate in a guided tour?
A: We require a VALID MOTORCYCLE DRIVER'S LICENSE, and you should feel comfortable riding in a group. We
do not turn anybody down because he/she does not have a certain
amount of experience. But for your own safety and level of comfort we
recommend that you do have enough experience riding a
motorcycle through different traffic situations and roads.
Q: How much luggage can I bring?
A: We recommend at most ONE duffle bag per person, so try to
pack light. However we can arrange for storage if necessary, so a
reasonable amount of luggage is not a problem. A good
rule of thumb for bikers is "if you can't carry it on the bike, then
don't bring it.
Q: What kind of insurance do you recommend?
A: Even though all insurances are optional we do recommend at least
insurance to cover any damages that may occur to your motorcycle. Deductible
amounts vary according to coverage.
Q: Do I have to wear a helmet?
A: Florida law does NOT require wearing a helmet, however, we
strongly recommend that for your own safety you should wear a helmet at all times when you ride
a motorcycle.
Q: Do all bikes have a windshield?
A: All models will have windshields.
Q: What are the hotels like?
A: We usually stay at major chain hotels, however this may change
during special events when hotels are fully booked.
Q: Do I need a visa for the USA?
A: Most countries don’t require a visa to enter the USA. Europe and
Canada fall under the Visa Waiver Program and at entry you will receive
a 90 day tourist visa. Check with State Department for all the latest
regulations, as they are apt to change without notice. Some countries may
require a visa or permit. Please make sure you have a valid passport.
